COOKING CLASSES FOR ALL ABILITIES

Healthy cooking and joy in eating is an essential part of our daily lives.

Healthy cooking and joy in eating are an essential part of our daily lives, Life & Fork was created to promote this simple truth by connecting people through food, wellbeing and memorable life experiences.

Home base is Woodend, within Victoria’s Macedon Ranges. Our cooking school caters to beginners of all abilities (NDIS approved) who are just starting their journey, through to budding chefs looking to sharpen their skills. We offer private classes in all cuisines, where you can surprise your friends, family and yourself while learning to prepare your favourite dishes or you may simply want a professional team to cater your next special event or private dinner party!

No matter the occasion, Life & Fork celebrates beautiful local produce wherever possible and seeks to show that anyone can prepare a nourishing meal even on the most modest of budgets!

I loved that my daughter was learning new skills in the kitchen- not just cooking and knife skills but time management and cooperation too. Each week there were new methods, tastes and fresh ingredients. I believe it has given her a fabulous foundation for her own cooking life. She is not afraid to try something new. At the end of the year it was great to see the whole class work together to cook up a 3 course feast for 80 family and friends.

Thank you Life and fork cooking school for not only teaching my daughter the vital life skill of cooking but inspiring her to be passionate about it. Her knife skill are enviable and her knowledge of balancing flavours and understanding of food science is breath taking. There is no better thing you can do for your child to prepare them for life. I’m so grateful we found you!

We couldn't be happier with the amazing job Erica did catering our wedding. Everything was perfect and this was all due to Erica's passion and dedication. Right from the get go she provided us with a wonderful selection of catering options. Based on her considerable experience, she guided us towards a menu that suited the style of our wedding. This was made abundantly clear by how much the guests raved about the food and wonderful staff! Thank you so much again Erica for helping make our day magical.

Life & Fork Cooking Classes were the best after school activities my 3 kids enjoyed, for a number of years. They learned the art of turning simple healthy ingredients into beautiful meals, life skills that they have now taken into young adulthood. The craft of turning a meal into an event has led them to employment in fine dining institutions, and as a parent I’ve been able to take a back seat in regards to meal preparations as they’ve taken over. I can’t recommend these classes more highly. They are relevant, vital, enjoyable, local and Erica is a brilliant teacher and inspiration for these young people.

Am grateful for the couple of years that I was a student of Erica’s. Having gained that kind of skill and confidence at such a young age meant I have since felt capable to cook pretty much anything. I remember being 13 and whipping up croquembouches after school and not thinking twice about it!
