Our Purpose

Our aim is to inspire children and provide a range of fun and creative programs that develop children’s knowledge and life skill cooking. Whilst giving the children the opportunities to strengthen their own knowledge and journey with food.

Our strength is working with schools to enhance a healthy understanding towards food, nutrition and wellbeing.

We believe children can and want to learn real skills—from how to use a knife properly to cooking the perfect steak and complex dishes; from understanding the science behind various cooking methods to incorporating many different culinary cultures, history, mathematics, literacy and languages in the kitchen.

Wherever possible, we promote and utilise the concept of ‘dirt to dish’—while focusing on practical cooking skills that your children can really use at home, see their own progress and feel proud of the results.

Life and Fork provides cooking classes with a qualified trainer who is attentive to the learning needs of students of all abilities and the classes can be tailored to suit individual needs.

The Programs

The breakfast club and lunchtime programs are great ways in which children learn the benefits of cooking as a life long interest and can be used to facilitate social learning by giving them a space for making friends and igniting passion.
